Getting Started
People have many fears in life, a lot of them justified. But none of them should control the path you want to take in life. This is where a lot of people have a hard time, especially when it comes to sharing their creative visions. There are a lot of people who do not post their work simply because of the fear of being judged by their peers. What others might say or what they might think.
People love to say that it is easy because they don’t care about what other people think at all. Or that they only care about what they think about themselves, and that is all you need to be successful. At first glance, this approach may sound right, because it’s so simple and obvious right? Just don’t care.
But here is the real piece of information you need in order to get over all your stresses and anxiety, that comes with the thought of people judging your creative work. You can’t simply “not care” about what other people think. You should care about what people have to say (to an extent), acknowledge it then realize this. You care more about what you feel and think than what others might say. You care more about your happiness and what you want for your future than the judgment that you might receive. You can’t get to that point of regularly posting the creative work that makes you happy, without posting your first piece of content.
You have to be willing to bet on yourself and believe that you are talented enough and skilled enough. Getting over the hump of your first couple posts and exposing your work is no small feat for some people. Understandably so, but if you don’t believe in yourself why should anyone else? No one is going to post it for you. You just have to decide, this is the life I want. This is the first step to getting there, and this is something you are going to do. Your friends and family will/should love and support you regardless so what is there to be afraid of?
